Pittsburgh Steelers Checks
Many places on the net you will come upon the term Pittsburgh Steelers Checks if you are doing regular searches for the fantastic team. I know for sure I did! In the beginning I used to ignore the term, but after having seen it too many times to forget about it I began to be curious. What did “Pittsburgh Steelers Checks” mean… Was it just some kind of abbreviation for “check this out” or did it have anything to do with real checks, value checks?? Was it some kind of counter that could be used in a gambling situation? It could also mean something like a crack/flaw which I didn’t hope since Pittsburgh Steelers imho are flawless ;) As you can see my interest was rather awakened so I just had to dig deeper into the term “Pittsburgh Steelers Checks”.
This is what I found: The word “checks” did indeed refer to the used money/value note we all know about. You know, the bill used to pay others instead of using real money notes and then later redeemed in a bank by the receiver. There has been an uprising trend to collect those used check originating from an old (or new for that sake) Pittsburgh Steelers player. When you get hold of one of those Pittsburgh Steelers Checks you will both get a unique collectable Pittsburgh Steelers object and a real vintage autograph! I have seen one of those checks now and I must say it is fun to see because it shows you so much more information and history than a regular autograph. You see how much money there was in the deal and you can see who the receiver was (the name also with an autograph). The Pittsburgh Steelers Checks also include date and place. I think the interest for Pittsburgh Steelers Checks and other NFL team checks will grow in the coming years making it a real football collectors field. Within a very short time frame I guess we will see a lot of Pittsburgh Steelers Checks traded on the internet… Just my humble prediction though.
